Lejla Ramovic is the Founder and director of Justice of Women. Born in Sarajevo, Lejla grew up in Amsterdam and a passionate commitment to human rights is the common thread throughout her studies and career. On a fundamental level she is driven by sense of injustice and willingness to change it for the better. She is dedicated to fighting for equality, justice, and empowerment and striving towards a more inclusive world promoting and protecting women’s rights, especially for the survivors of conflict-related sexual violence. Lejla read law at the University of Amsterdam, after which she completed Graduate Diploma in Law, in the UK. At present she works as a compliance officer, ensuring that the bank adhere to ethical and legal standards.
Her friends would describe her as driven, passionate, witty, curious, adventurous, compassionate, lively, idealistic, imaginative and probably add a bit stubborn, impatient, bloody honest and an eternal optimist.
